Bordeaux Students Visit Bristol

Fifty students from the College Grand Parc in Bordeaux arrived in Bristol this week with their teachers to undertake a study visit. All the students are staying with local families and this is their first ever visit to the city. The visit is organised by teacher of English Madame Florence Lacoste who herself had taken part in the Bordeaux exchange in the past and also has been involved in primary school links with Bristol. Today the students visited the CREATE Environment Centre and the Ecohome and were given presentations on Bristol’s Environmental work by Phil Tomlinson (in photo) and on Green Capital and the twinnings by Alix Hughes, BITA Co-ordinator. BBP volunteers Vivien and Robert Brown also guided the students along the river to see the suspension bridge.
