Hannover archivist, Dr Christian Heppner, is visiting the Bristol Archives as part of an exchange with Bristol archivists in honour of the 70th anniversary.
Christian started his research in the Bristol Archives to find documents to put it into the 70 years of Bristol-Hannover-twinning exhibition. He is searching the catalogues, examining the documents, clearing up their historical contexts and seeing how they might fit into the exhibition. The exhibition will be opened in November in Hannover Town Hall.
On 22nd March, Christian will also be giving a talk entitled: “Rescuing history: how the Hannover archives survived World War Two” at City Hall at 7.30pm. If you would like to attend, please let the Chair of Bristol-Hannover Council know at email@example.com.
